Exhibitors from the 2023 Shackelford County Youth and Livestock Show have until Saturday, April 1 to write thank you notes to bidders and complete other obligations.

Show participants must place their finished notes in a stamped, addressed envelope ready for mailing. Notes must be verified by Chris Beard, Kelsey Bell, or Minnie Denson.

Bell said FFA and 4-H members who took their animals through the sale ring have received their lists of the bidders they should thank.

All outstanding balances owed to the Shackelford Youth and Livestock Association, Albany FFA, or Shackelford County 4-H must be paid. Also, any students who fed animals at the FFA barn must clean their pens. Failure to satisfy either requirement by April 1 will result in checks being withheld.

Students owing money to the Albany FFA Livestock Scholarship Fund must have that paid by Wednesday, April 12. Payments may be made by check or cash.

Stock show checks will be distributed Thursday, April 13 at the Chamber of Commerce building.
