The fourth annual Albany Mainstreet Playhouse Mystery Dinner will take place at Fort Griffin General Merchandise next Tuesday, Oct. 20.

A cocktail hour will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by the main event at 6:30 p.m.

“We have taken guests to a wedding, back to high school for a reunion, on a cruise to Hawaii, and this year we are gathering for a memorial and will reading,” said organizer Ragan Riley. “Guests are encouraged to wear their best bereavement clothing, the more dramatic the better.”

Riley explained that this year’s Mystery Dinner will be different from ones in the past.

“Guests will not be trying to figure out ‘who dun nit’ but rather gathering glues to unlock a message that was left behind by the deceased,” Riley added. “Individuals can gather as teams or work solo. Guests will need to listen carefully to the actors, but extra attention needs be paid to all details of the night, no matter how big or small.”

Albany Mainstreet Playhouse is sponsoring the annual fundraiser.

Tickets are $50 per person, and each includes a buffet dinner provided by Fort Griffin General Merchandise, dessert by the Icehouse, and two drinks, along with the entertainment and laughs.

To purchase tickets, go to the Albany Mainstreet Playhouse Facebook page, and click on the ticket link located on the mystery dinner event.

“Purchasing tickets online is a new process for us, and we acknowledge that there might be some confusion,” Riley explained.

For more information or help booking a ticket, call Riley at 214-663-3271.

“We look forward to getting back to normal and gathering with friends for an entertaining night,” Riley added. “Buy tickets as soon as possible because seating will be limited.”
