Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar released November state sales tax revenue amounts for counties across the state of Texas, including Shackelford County.

The City of Albany will receive a sales tax allotment of $40,378 from the state this month. This amount is up 0.39 percent from the $40,222 payment received this time last year.

Payments to date for the 2020 year to the City of Albany are $66,445 down by 13.59 percent from the comparable time last year when $488,739 had been received.

The City of Moran will receive a net payment of $2,266 this period for an increase of 36.29 percent increase from the $1,663 received this time last year.

Payments to date for the 2020 year to the City of Moran are $4,859 up 30.35 percent from the comparable time in 2019 when payments of $16,006 had been made.

Over the entire state of Texas, tax allocations are up 4.8 percent more than in November 2019.

Texas collected the following revenue from other major taxes, motor vehicle sales and rental taxes, motor fuel taxes, natural gas production tax, oil production tax, and hotel occupancy tax.

Allocations are based on sales made in September by businesses that report tax monthly and on sales made in July, August and September by quarterly filers.
