Board members of the Albany Chest will meet to organize the 2022 fundraising campaign, nominate and elect new directors, and choose officers for the upcoming year during an Aug. 31 meeting

The meeting will be held at the Feed Store at 5:15 p.m.

Four of the 12 directors will complete their current terms, including board chair Jana Kitchens, Melinda Lucas, Clint Chapman, and Austin Sherwood.

Chapman and Sherwood will rotate off the board, with Kitchens and Lucas eligible to serve another term.

According to the Chest bylaws, directors can serve up to two three-year terms before they cycle off.

In addition to Kitchens, current officers are Lucas, who serves as vice chair and public relations, along with secretary Daivis Gallagher, treasurer Kalico Leech, and parliamentarian Chris Beard.

Board members whose terms expire in 2023 are Beard, Gallagher, Mike Bean, and Robert Dacus.

Terms expiring in 2024 are those of Leech, Sara Wilson, Kristie Smith, and Tracy Sullivan.

Individuals interested in serving on the Albany Chest board can contact one of the directors to have their names submitted for consideration.

Donations

The deadline to apply for 2023 funding is expected to be scheduled on Friday, Sept. 30.

Application forms will be placed at First Financial Bank, First National Bank, and The Albany News. They can be returned to the same locations.

The board will determine the fundraising needs at the October board meeting and send out letters to potential donors.

Contributions to the Chest may be mailed to Albany Chest, PO Box 2019, or taken to First National Bank, First Financial Bank, or The Albany News.
