AISD cancels assembly

The traditional special assembly to honor local veterans has fallen victim to COVID this year. 

School administrators decided recently that they would cancel the event this year, due to fact that attendees are typically in close proximity. 

All local veterans and their families typically are invited to participate in the assembly, which usually includes music and special readings from the students. 

The two Albany Independent School District campuses alternate hosting the event. This year’s event would have been held at the secondary campus.
