AHS band rehearsals underway

Summer band rehear­sals started Monday, July 19 for percussion with the rest of the band members scheduled to join on Monday, July 26.

Percussion practices start at 3:00 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m.

The title of this year’s marching show is “Tales of Arabia.”

On Monday, July 26, percussionists will continue practice at the same times, and all other band members will work at 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Band members will practice from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and will not practice on Fridays.

The week of Aug. 2, all band students will practice from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. 

On Aug. 16, the band will practice from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., and parents are invited to attend a special performance beginning at 8:00 p.m. at Robert Nail Memorial Stadium.

The band will also have a leadership workday for students involved in leadership roles for the school year.

The workday is scheduled for Monday, July 26 from 11:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.
