Academic banquet set May 6

The 2024 Albany Jr./ Sr. High School Academic Banquet will be held Monday, May 6 at the high school gym.

A total of 152 students, a record number, will be honored for success in a variety of areas including academics, band, Ag, FCCLA, one-act play, UIL academics, and journalism. Those with the highest ACT and SAT scores will also be announced.

Seventy students will receive recognition in more than one area, and two students will be honored in five-plus areas. Forty-six of the 48 graduating seniors are among the honorees.

Tickets are available in the high school office at a cost of $20. Each honored student will receive one free ticket.

The meal will be catered by Joe Allen’s Pit Bar-B Que of Abilene and will begin at 6:00 p.m.

The banquet is co-sponsored by The Feed Store, Albany Academic Booster Club, and Albany ISD.
