The Feed Store will host an evening of praise and worship at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30 to celebrate the fifth Sunday of the month.

Organizer Kyle Viertel said the the program will include a number of songs, a spoken word message, and possibly a time to share testimony.

“The plan is that musicians – instrumentalists, singers, sound technicians and technical people – are invited to participate in a community worship,” Viertel said.

Viertel said the event, which is expected to last between an hour and an hour and a half, is open to all ages and denominations.

“Everyone is welcome, anyone who enjoys music,” he said. “This will be contemporary Christian worship and is nondenominational.”

While there are no plans for food, Viertel said bottled water will be available. He added that childcare will not be provided, but The Feed Store has space for parents to take children.

Viertel said the setting will be informal.

“People can stand and worship, or there will be places to sit, however they are comfortable,” he said.

Vietel said he hopes to make Fifth Sunday programs a regular event.

“What we’re planning to do with this going forward is every month that has a fifth Sunday, we will have this worship,” he said. “Right now, the plan is to have it at The Feed Store.”

For the remainder of 2023, July, October, and December have five Sunday’s, but December’s fifth Sunday is New Year’s Eve.

“We may use that in a different way, not necessarily on a Fifth Sunday, but on some other date,” Viertel said. “We’re not worried about that yet. It’s just too far out in the future.”
