47 local youth to be at camp

The First Baptist Church of Albany is offering multiple summer programs for students, including a large group of youth that will be gone next week for a five-day camp.

Latham Springs

On Monday, June 28, 47 students leave to go to Latham Springs teen camp in Aquila, Texas.

Participants will go on a charter bus and spend the week in study groups, worship, and outdoor activities.

“We will be doing all sorts of things during rec time,” FBC youth pastor Campbell Terry said. “Some games we will play include dodgeball and paintball.”

Students will return from the camp on Friday, July 2.

Camp Copass

Fourth through sixth graders will attend Camp Copass July 12 through July 16.

The camp is in Denton, Texas, and students will have similar activities to those going to Latham Springs. 

According to Terry, activities include waterfront fun, archery, and leatherworking.
