4-Hers to elect officers May 5

ShackelfordCounty4-H will hold its final meeting of the school year at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at The Feed Store with officer elections for next year the main order of business.

“All officer candidates reached out to me, and I have a list of who is running for senior and junior offices,” Shackelford County extension agent Kelsey Bell said. “I’ll be communicating with them about what to include in their speeches.”

Bell said a meal will be included in the evening.

“We’re going to have a taco stack,” she said. “The parents are all pitching in, and everyone’s bringing something.”

On Friday, April 26, Faith Fry and Grace Fry will give an equine speech educational presentation at the District 7 Roundup in San Angelo.

Photos Judged

Judging for the junior division of the county photography contest has been completed, and results will be reported next week.

“Donnie Lucas and his photography students have finished judging those,” Bell said.
