12 inducted into honor society

Twelve new members were inducted into the Albany chapter of the National Honor Society last Sunday at the high school auditorium.

The ceremony was conducted by current members, with the invocation and welcome by Presley Green, history of NHS by Ashley Richards, and the four principles of the society by other officers.

Inductees who joined current members this year included Braylyn Abbate, Brooklyn Abbate, Jaden Bean, Jaci Chapman, Tyler Chapman, Cambree Clegg, Kolton Koemel, Luke Marshall, Cort Peterson, Kiana Robertson, Sidney Russell, and Robyn Trail.

Officers are Presley Green – president, Ashley Richards – vice president, Cole Chapman – secretary, Ella Webb – treasurer, and Leddie Leech – reporter.

Other current members include Chloé Anderson, Haily Cox, Chloe Daugherty, Mayson Garcia, Brooke Kayga, Gracie Price, Keatin Russell, and Briley Tabor.

Math teacher Ashley Terrell sponsors the group.

Refreshments were served in the FCCLA room after the ceremony.
