The Albany Ministerial Alliance distributed 119 food packages for its Christmas Basket campaign last Sunday afternoon.

Ministerial Alliance secretary Tisha Wilkins said there were still three unclaimed baskets at The Feed Store as of Tuesday.

“Everyone else’s was delivered on Sunday, or they came in to pick them up Monday,” Wilkins said.

The annual program strives to provide a box filled with ingredients needed for a traditional holiday meal to families in need of assistance.

Donations can be mailed to the Ministerial Alliance at PO Box 3084, Albany TX 76430.

“It was a great year,” Wilkins said. “We appreciate everyone’s help. Deliveries went really smoothly, and it all worked out very well.”

Believe Trees

Wilkins said the Ministerial Alliance’s Believe Trees for Teens ministry was also a big success this year.

“I have one gift left, and I’m in contact with that parent to get it picked up,” she said. “Every year, I say it can’t get any better, and it does. The community really puts forth a giving heart when it comes to these programs, and we’re very grateful.”
