Registration remains open for the Albany Volleyball Camp, but space is running out, according to camp director M.J. Reneau.

The camp is scheduled for Monday-Wednesday, June 26-28, for students entering first through ninth grades.

“There are still a couple of spots available, but
I have over 70 campers, almost 80,” Reneau said. “That’s the best turnout I’ve had in the last five years.”

Cost for the camp is $25 per camper. The camp fee includes a camp T-shirt with sizes ranging from youth small to adult extra-large.

Registration forms and payment may be mailed to M.J. Reneau at 156 Breckenridge St., Albany, Texas 76430 or dropped off at the Nancy Smith Elementary School office. Payment may also be made through Venmo to @MJ-Reneau. Venmo payments will ensure a T-shirt.

The camp will have three sessions for different age groups each day. Incoming first through third graders will meet 8:30-9:30 a.m., followed by fourth through sixth graders 10:00-11:30 a.m. and seventh through ninth graders 1:00-2:30 p.m.

For more information, contact Reneau at 325-762-0351.

Also on the summer schedule is the Cubs Cheer Camp for age 3 through sixth grade. That camp is scheduled for Monday-Wednesday, July 24-26, at the auxiliary gym.

Cost is $35 per child with additional siblings accepted for another $20 each. Those signed up by Tuesday, July 11, will receive a camp T-shirt. Sizes run from youth extra-small to adult large.

Checks should be made out to Albany Cheer and mailed with registration forms to Nickie Leveridge at P.O. Box 2050, Albany, Texas 76430.

Camp sessions will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. each day.

The camp will have themes for each day. Monday will be Tie-Dye Day, followed by Hawaiian Day on Tuesday and Camp-Shirt/Uniform Day on Wednesday.

Participants are asked to perform with their group at the 2023 Albany Lion Ice Cream Supper hosted by the Albany Athletic Booster Club.
