Yard sale, bake sale fundraiser planned Saturday at Shackelford County Show Barn

Shoppers should have plenty to choose from this Saturday at the special yard sale and bake sale to be held at the Shackelford County Show Barn from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

“We have so, so many things!” organizer Kristie Smith said earlier this week. “We have donations of big furniture, home furnishing and décor, kitchen items, and children’s items, which includes furniture, games, toys, and clothes. And there’s more being brought in this week. Now we need shoppers!”

Smith said that there will also be a large assortment of baked goods.

“We have just been amazed at the great things that people have donated for this fundraiser,” Smith said. “I think every shopper will find something to take home.”

There is still a chance to donate before Saturday’s event. Volunteers will be at the show barn Friday afternoon, March 7 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Bake sale donations may be delivered to the FBC Fellowship Hall on Friday, March 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or they can be brought directly to the show barn from 4:00-5:00 p.m. that day.

The show barn is located on Hwy. 283N across from the Albany Cemetery.

Proceeds from the combination yard/bake sale will help send local youth to a week-long session in July at Pineywoods Camp near Lufkin.
