A day-long fundraiser to assist Albany resident Willie Mosley with medical expenses is planned for Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Jackson Warehouse.

Big Country Piggin, of which Mosley is a member, and the Timothy Project will host a concert and corn-hole tournament to benefit Mosley, who was seriously injured several weeks ago in an accidental shooting.

In addition to Saturday’s event, an account for Mosley has been established at Clear Fork Bank.

Sign-in for the cornhole tournament will start at 8:00 a.m. with competition starting at 10:00 a.m.

Entry fee for the blind-draw tournament is $25 per player. The tournament will have a 75-percent payout with 25 percent benefitting Mosley.

“The cornhole tournament will go all day,” family friend Cindy Parsons said.

Gates for the concert featuring Scott Hayley and Ariel Hutchins open at 6:30 p.m. with the performance to start at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is $25 per person or $45 per couple. Attendees are advised to bring a chair.

Food will be available for purchase. Attendees may BYOB, Parsons said.

Raffle items and door prizes will be awarded during the performance.

Mosley, a U.S. Army/Texas Army National Guard veteran, is scheduled to undergo an angioplasty in preparation for a muscle graft, which will require blood vessels to other blood supplies.
