The third annual Shifters Truck Show has been scheduled to take place in Albany next Saturday, Aug. 17.

The first local truck show took place three years ago, and the second annual show was in 2017, but last year’s event was cancelled after being repeatedly rained out, and the handcrafted awards were packed away for use in 2019.

“We have some very cool trophies and lots of giveaways,” said organizer Robert Snyder. “Help us spread the word about the show. We hope to see everyone.”

Albany Eagle Auto Parts is sponsoring door prizes and other give-a-ways.

Registration is $20 per entry and will take place on the day of the show from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.

The show is open to all original, classic, hot rod, custom, and 4x4 trucks that were manufactured through 1987.

“We welcome anything that could be classified as a truck,” said Snyder. “We’ll choose a Best of Show, Peoples Choice, and a few other winners.”

For more information, call Snyder at 325-762-4555, or call 325-762-0003.
