Old Jail honors its members

Visitors at the Old Jail Art Center next week will have a chance to join museum patrons across the country in showing some love for artwork by placing a paper heart next to one of their favorite exhibits, and staff members are showing their love for museum members all month long.

Membership

Appreciation Month

“We are truly grateful for the integral role members play at the OJAC,” said development and marketing coordinator Susan Montgomery. “Members are the heartbeat of the OJAC. Your membership allows us to remain one of the best museums in Texas and a resource for the entire region.”

Memberships are available starting at $12.50 for educators or $25 for individuals.

All membership levels include invitations to exhibition previews and special membership events, advanced notification of special programs and lectures, newsletters, and a discount on Museum Shop Merchandise.

All during the month of February, OJAC members can stop by the museum for a free gift, and can take 20 percent off one item in the museum store.

Hearts For The Arts

“Find your heart’s desire at the OJAC,” said Montgomery. “Take time the week of Feb. 12 to visit the OJAC and place a heart next to your favorite piece of art.”

Admission to the OJAC is always free to the public during normal hours.
