Thanks to a new volunteer, Albany Neighbors In Need, which had only been open on Monday mornings from 10:00 a.m. until noon, is now also open from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.

“Brad McBee will be available to accept donations and to allow our shoppers who work all week to come and shop too,” said organizer Lori Reames. “By donating during that hour, items can be stored immediately into our building to ensure they are available for those who truly need them!”

Former NIN coordinator Sam Burge recently stepped down from the position he had held for seven years.

Billy Boland has been filling in with pickups and deliveries as his schedule allowed, but Reames posted a request for additional volunteers and was very pleased when the First Christian Church minister responded.

“Brad’s wife Tammy McBee is the coordinator for our prom dress ministry, and four of his precious daughters volunteer at Closet Angels,” said Reames. “They are all difference makers! Please welcome Brad to the NIN family!”

Closet Angels BTS Bash

Closet Angels will hold a drawing for cash and gift cards at a Back to School Bash in August.

Shackelford County students and parents of students can enter the drawing when they shop at Closet Angels.

Closet Angels is currently open from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. on Mondays and from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on second and fourth Saturdays.
