Fiesta to support OJAC art outreach

A Mexican fiesta will greet ticket holders at the Old Jail Art Center’s spring fundraiser Fiesta Cárcel! next Saturday, April 6, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and there is still time for everyone to join the party in exchange for a contribution to the local art outreach program.

“Tickets are still available,” said OJAC marketing director Susan Montgomery. “It will be a fun event, and everyone is welcome.”

Tickets are $50 for members of the OJAC or $65 for non-members, and include food and drinks.

“Each event ticket sold supports two students in the upcoming 2019-2020 school-year,” said Montgomery. “The museum serves over 4,000 students per month through physical and visual art education programs.”

Dinner options will be provided by Mexican theme food trucks and will include tacos, nachos, hamburgers with a Mexican twist, a chicken sandwich, and corn cups. There will be a Mexican dessert bar.

“Our spring fundraiser is going to be great,” said Montgomery. “Join us for a festive even-ing featuring live music, auctions, food trucks, lawn games, a photo booth, margaritas, and a signature drink. We look forward to everyone joining the fun.”
