New edition cookbook for sale

Members of the Albany Study Club have two fundraisers underway to help support the Shackelford County Library – the club’s annual quilt raffle and a cookbook sale.

The second edition of the Albany Study Club’s Cookbook are priced at $12 each.

The cookbook is not just a repeat of the first edition, according to club member Tammy Glover.

“It has mostly new recipes,” Glover said. “It is available at the library or from any Study Club member.”

Quilt Raffle

The Study Club members are raffling off a quilt again this year.

The raffle quilt can be viewed at the Shackelford County Library and will also be displayed at the annual quilt exhibit at the Whitney Theatre during Fandangle.

“It’s really pretty with red flowers and green stems,” said Glover.

People can purchase tickets for the Study Club’s raffle quilt for $5 a ticket, or $20 for five tickets from Albany Study Club members.

The drawing for the quilt winner will take place on June 29, the last night of Fandangle.
