MISD to dismiss for spring break

Moran Independent School District will dismiss on Friday, March 12 at the regular time for Spring Break.

Spring Break is set for March 15-19, and classes will resume at the normal time on Wednesday, March 22. 

UIL Meet

The UIL District 13-A academic meet will be held in Eula on Thursday, March 24.

Other schools in the district with Moran and Eula are Baird, Cross Plains, May, and Rising Star.

Spring Fling

The district will hold its annual Spring Fling on Thursday, April 1, on the football field to help with social distancing. 

The various classes will have games set up, with the seniors holding a silent auction and serving food from the concession stand. 

The junior class will have a cake walk and pie spin, and the sophomore class will hold a ring toss. 

The sixth grade will sponsor a leap frog contest, and the third grade will offer grab bags. 

Other classes have not yet announced their events   for the fling. 

Holidays

The MISD campus will be closed over the Easter weekend including Good Friday, April 2.

Graduation

School will release for the year on Friday, May 29, graduation day.

Cheer Tryouts

Cheer tryout dates have not been set yet, but will be completed by the end of March. 

Practices for students trying out for next year’s cheer squads will be announced at a later date.
