Health Fair set this week at Bank Park

The spring health fair hosted by Shackelford County ResourceCare returns to the Albany Bank Park on Friday, May 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. after missing last year due to COVID concerns.

The event, for which this is the 17th year, is typically held on the Friday closest to Cinco de Mayo, but because of numerous conflicts with school and other events, it was moved to this coming Friday morning.

ResourceCare program director Mindy Ary said approximately 15 different agencies, are expected to attend the health fair for Albany and Moran elementary students.

The students will be bused at various times during the morning to the Bank Park.

“We will have face painting, snow cones, popcorn, and booth games throughout the morning,” said Ary. 

She added that the Albany Volunteer Fire Department is providing a bounce house for the participants.
