The Albany NFL Flag Football League reached the midway point of its season Saturday with two divisions having ties for first place.

The league had to double up with two rounds of games two weeks ago after the original opening date of Oct. 2 was postponed because of wet field conditions.

The league got underway Oct. 5 with the second round of games played Oct. 9 and the third on Oct. 16. All games are being played at the Albany High School baseball field.

Not all scores were available, but results from the three sets of games are as follows:

Kindergarten-

First Grade

Oct. 5 – Seahawks defeated Packers, Rams beat Titans.

Oct. 9 – Seahawks beat the Titans 24 -12, Rams defeated Seahawks.

Oct. 16 – Rams and Seahawks tied, Packers beat Titans.

The Rams and Sea­hawks are tied for first place at 2-0-1,while the Packers are 1-2 with the Titans 0-3.

This week’s games include Packers vs. Rams and Titans vs. Seahawks. Both games start at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

Second-Third Grade

Oct. 5 – Texas beat Texas Tech 20-18. Texas A&M defeated TCU.

Oct. 9 – Texas Tech beat TCU 14-6. Texas A&M defeated Texas.

Oct. 16 – Texas defeated TCU, Texas Tech beat Texas A&M.

Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech are tied for first place at 2-1 with TCU at 0-3.

This week’s games are Texas Tech vs. TCU and Texas A&M vs. Texas, starting at 11:00 a.m. 

Fourth-Sixth Grade

Oct. 5 – Cardinals beat Cowboys 27-26, Chiefs defeated Buccaneers.

Oct. 9 – Chiefs beat Cowboys 22-13, Cardinals beat Buccaneers 32-12.

Oct. 16 – Cardinals beat Chiefs, Buccaneers beat the Cowboys 34-20.

The Cardinals lead the division at-3-0, followed by the Chiefs at 2-1, the Buccaneers at 1-2 and the Cowboys at 0-3.

This week’s games are Buccaneers vs. Cardinals and Cowboys vs. Chiefs. Both games start at noon Saturday.
