Fifth Quarter slated Friday

Area churches are again taking turns hosting the popular after-game fellowships following each of the Albany Lions’ home football games this year.

The fourth “Fifth Quarter” event of the season will be held this Friday, Oct. 4 at The Feed Store after the game with Menard.

This Friday’s Fifth Quarter will be sponsored by Friendship Baptist and United Methodist Church . 

Sausage wraps, chips, water, and cookies will be served at tomorrow’s event, according to Methodist representative Annette Harris.

The fellowships begin immediately after the varsity home football games and conclude at 12:00 midnight. The Feed Store is scheduled to be the location for all but the final Fifth Quarter this year.

All students in grades seven through 12 are invited and encouraged to attend Fifth Quarters, and local churches take turns sponsoring the event.
