December sales tax rebate down

The city of Albany will receive a sales tax allotment of $41,035 from the state this December. The amount is down 14.04 percent from the $47,741 payment received in December of 2018.

Payments to date for the 2019 year to the city of Albany are $529,775, down by 2.52 percent from the comparable time last year, when payments of $543,476 had been made.

The city of Moran will receive a net payment of $1,569 this period for a 22.91 percent increase from the $1,277 received in December 2018.

Payments to date for 2019 to the city of Moran are $17,576, down by 12.57 percent from the comparable time in 2018, when payments of $20,105 had been made.

Texas cities, counties, transit systems, and special purpose taxing districts will receive $820.5 million in local sales tax allocations for December, 7.8 percent more than in December 2018.
