The number of positive COVID-19 test results held about the same last week, with a total of 66 tests administered with 20 positives.

The numbers were provided by County Judge Robert Skelton on Monday and included results from both local clinics and the Shackelford County EMS.

The numbers reported were for the week of Sept. 13-17 at the three local locations providing testing.

A total of 44 tests were conducted during the week of Sept. 6-10, with 18 positives recorded.

The report does not account for testing of county residents outside of the county.

The Shackelford County Health Clinic reported a total of seven tests with no positive results on Monday, Sept. 20.

Testing can be conducted at the Shackelford County EMS free of charge with an appointment during regular office hours. Because of the paperwork that has to be filled out, the ambulance staff is not able to conduct tests after hours or on weekends. Call 325-762-3313 to obtain an appointment.

Both testing and vaccines are available at the Shackelford County Health Clinic (325-762-3661) and ResourceCare Community Health Center (325-762-2447).

Both facilities have the Moderna vaccine available.

The Pfizer vaccine is available for children ages 12 and above in Abilene.
