Glenn Rogers of Graford won the Republican primary runoff for District 60 state representative Tuesday, recording an overwhelming margin here but running a close race overall with 52.4 percent of the total vote over opponent Jon Francis of Cisco.

Rogers finished second to Francis in the March primary but managed to turn the race around for the COVID-delayed runoff.

Turnout was fairly low, with 555 of Shackelford County’s 2,300 voters casting ballots in the single race Republican runoff. Only 15 county residents voted as Democrats.
