Truck show rescheduled Oct. 13

The third annual Shifters Car Club Truck Show will take place on Saturday, Oct. 13, and truck fanciers are welcome to enter a 1987 or older vehicle and compete for prizes, or to walk through the trucks exhibited in downtown Albany for the event and take a stroll down memory lane.

The truck show was originally scheduled to take place in downtown Albany last month, but was postponed due to rain.

“We had to reschedule because of the weather,” said organizer Robert Snyder. “We are trying to get the word about the new date out on social media,  and we also mailed flyers.”

The rainout date falls on Albany’s Homecoming weekend.

“It will give the Homecoming crowd another activity they can enjoy,” said Snyder. “There is no charge to come out and watch the show.”

Registration is $20 per vehicle and will take place from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the morning of the show.

The contest is open to any classic, hot rod, original, custom, rat rod, 4x4, or other type of truck built in 1987 or earlier.

Winners will be selected and awards will be presented to the top 20, Best of Show, and People’s Choice.

For details about the truck show, call Snyder at 325-762-4555, or call 325-762-0003.

Adult sized T-shirts sporting the Shifters Truck Show logo will be available at the show for $10 each.
