TMCN lunch planned here

Albany will host a Regional Networking Luncheon of the Texas Midwest Community Network on Thursday, May 2 at the Feed Store.

Kathy Keane, Executive Director of the TMCN, sent an invitation to area members, asking them to “Enjoy a step back in history as we learn about the Stasney-Cook Ranch.” 

Ranch general manager Lance Thomas will address the group, giving results of research on the Cook Ranch since its beginning, including the fact that Matilda Cook provided the funding to build what is now Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.

The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a meal catered by Prairie Star and end at 2:30 p.m. with a special tour of the Old Jail Art Center. 

Participants will also be given time to do some downtown shopping, said Keane.
