The Albany Softball Association will have a meeting on Monday, May 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Shackelford County library.

“We will be electing board members,” said president Cynthia Smith. “The public is encouraged to attend and join the meeting!”

Current officers are Smith, vice president Amy McDaniel, secretary Mike Bean, and treasurer Jolene Hinkle.

Coaches include Beth Roysdon, Matt Stapp, and Jimmy Cox.

Teresa Purcell is in charge of the concession stand.

“Please join us at the meeting if you’re interested in being on the board or just want more info,” said Smith.

The 8U team, coached by Roysdon, came in second place at their season closing tournament, narrowly losing the championship game 7-6. Their district tournament was rained out, so they will play in a Memorial Day weekend tournament instead.

The district tournaments for both the 10U and 14U teams take place this weekend.
