Christian recording artist Miriam Webster, who performed during worship services at First Christian Church and First Baptist Church back on May 13, will return to join parishioners at the two local churches again this Sunday, Sept. 9.

“She enjoyed visiting in Albany and she has an open invitation to come back,” said First Christian Church member Don Fitzgibbons, who first met Webster on a tour of the Holy Land led by Messianic Rabbi Jason Sobel. “When she contacted us and said that she had an open date on her calendar and asked if she could come visit, we said, ‘Of course’.”

Fitzgibbons said that Miriam will sing at FBC’s regular 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning worship service from the start of the service until around 11:10 a.m. She will then head over to FCC and join the 11:00 a.m. service, already in progress, and sing there until 12:00 noon.

Local pastors Brad McBee of First Christian and Jeff Turner of First Baptist both invited local residents who would like to hear Webster to visit during Sunday’s services.

Webster is an Australian worship leader and contemporary singer/songwriter who has traveled the globe leading people in worship.

Her album Faithful includes selected songs recorded from over the years with her testimony song Forever Thankful as a taste of new songs coming.

“The songs are inspired from times when I received revelation and freedom in the presence of God,” Webster said. “I want to express these revelations through song because I want others to share such joy, healing, and hope found only in God. I love worshiping Jesus with others, and encountering his manifest presence both individually and corporately.”

Both congregations would love to have as many people as possible come to the services, Fitzgibbons added.
