Fandangle performers, especially those that will be out of pocket over spring break, need to note that artistic director Lorna Ayers has rescheduled rehearsals to try and decrease conflicts.

“I have changed the days of Sampler rehearsals for March to Mondays, to get rehearsals off baseball/softball game days,” Ayers said. “All rehearsals will start at 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise specified, and we will be at the Aztec.”

Starting in April, two rehearsals will be held every week, she added.

“April practices will take place on Mondays and Thursdays until the week of the show, when we will adjust practices as needed,” Ayers said.

The script is finished, and the director offered a glimpse at some of the scenes that will be included this year.

“Some songs in this year’s show that haven’t been done in a while are ‘Fortin’ Up at Fort Davis’ and ‘Little Wrangler’,” she said. “Familiar comebacks are ‘Wild and Wooley Man,’ ‘Grandma’s Surefire Cure,’ and ‘Love Hovers.’ There will be a new dance featuring junior high students.”

Ayers urged all those interested to mark their calendars and don’t miss the first rehearsal on Monday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Aztec.

Everyone who would like to be in the show is encouraged to attend.
