Everyone is invited to attend next Monday’s public performance of The 39 Steps, the one-act play Albany High School students will take to district competition next week.

The free production will be given at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, in the AHS auditorium.

The cast has been rehearsing for weeks and already performed at a one-act play festival.

“We attended the Clyde OAP clinic and got some very helpful feedback from the judges,” said co-director Jenny Scott. “The judges suggested speeding up certain events in the play, and were able to work with our students at the clinic. We have applied those changes and feel like the play is progressing well.”

The 39 Steps is a comedy adapted by Patrick Barlow from a novel by John Buchan and a film by Alfred Hitchcock.

Locals are invited to come and enjoy the play and help the students practice performing in front of a live audience at the Monday night performance.
