The Old Jail Art Center remains temporarily closed and has yet to announce an opening date.

OJAC has several interactive ways to stay connected to the museum and educate learners from home.

Visit the OJAC Facebook page on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. to view a new demo of an activity called “#StayHomeStudio.”

“#StayHomeStudio” is a virtual workshop celebrating Try-It-Tuesdays at the OJAC. The activity has been created for adults and families to try together.

This week is a studio process adapted for supplies audiences may already have at home. The demo includes step-by-step visuals and instructions.

OJAC staff members encourage budding artists to hashtag and share creations on the museum’s Facebook page.

To stay up-to-date with other virtual events and activities at the OJAC, anyone interested can sign up online at www.theojac.org, for a weekly e-mail “blast.”

The weekly e-mail also posts trivia and ways that patrons can support the museum.

The website  includes the published spring newsletter and a staff blog, as well as a way to brush up on the history and founders of the Old Jail.
