Moran park to get backboard

A new backboard for the basketball goal at Chuck Reynolds Park has been purchased, with community volunteers making plans to install it soon.

Sewer Project

The City of Moran has been notified that the grant for the sewer repair has been released.

City employee Theresa King said the contractor hired for the project will now be able to start the work.

The City of Moran had applied for $275,000 in HUD Community Development Block Grant funds for replacing approximately 2,500 feet of eight-inch sewer lines running along Fisher Avenue and Grand Avenue.

Graduation Meal

DA’s will host a high school graduation meal on Friday, May 29 at 4:00 p.m.

Donnie Edgar with DA’s said this an eat-and-go meal before graduation. 

“This is a free meal, but donations are welcome,” Edgar said. 

This Friday, DA’s will serve pulled pork, macaroni salad and baked beans. Plates are $5 each.

Moran Baptist 

Members of Moran First Baptist Church will meet in person this Sunday at 11:00 a.m., and broadcast live from their Facebook page.
