Bus loads of Albany students were among over 7,000 who gathered at Shot-well Stadium in Abilene on Wednesday, Oct. 9 for the Big Country Fellowship of Christian Athletes sponsored Fields of Faith.

FCA Big Country East representative and local pastor Paul Johnston said that the event went well.

“It was a great evening,” Johnston said. “All of the speakers at the locations were good.”

Fields of Faith is a peer-to-peer movement where students gather on athletic fields to share stories and challenge each other to apply the Bible as their game plan for life.

Six events, including the one in Abilene, were held in the Big Country last Wednesday.

“Close to two thousand kids at those six sites dedicated or rededicated their lives to Jesus this year,” said Johnston.
