Dear Editor:

I am past-president of the medical staff for Houston Methodist Hospital (best hospital in Texas and in the top 20 in the USA out of 4600 hospitals according to US News).  

Several months ago we had 750 patients in our hospitals with Covid, then it dropped to 150, now it is back up to 350.  

I voted for Trump and don’t like the government telling me what to do, but if you love your neighbor – please wear a mask!

I am concerned that one of the greatest towns in the country might be poised to have a surge of Covid cases.
