Junior Journalists: The Enchanted Island

Last week, we invited young writers to share their Spring Break adventures—real or imagined! This week’s story takes us on a magical journey filled with castles, quests, and even an “evil dentist.” But don’t worry—that can’t be Albany Dental, our great Kids Corner sponsor. Dr. Simpson and his team make smiles, not evil plans!

On our 4 hour journey to the Enchanted Island we bought some potions. My brother got a Strawberry Cream Frappuccino and I got a Mocha Cookie Crumble. Then we finally got to the Dentist Woman’s evil lair. She took pictures of my teeth and I think she is going to use them for an evil plan on Thursday. After that, we headed to the castle. It was amazing!!!!! There was a little robotic waitress which is quite unique considering the fact that there aren’t many electric things in Dazzle Kingdom. The riser was beautiful and was decorated with flowers. We pulled the string and started to elevate. When we got to our room it had two beautiful beds and a balcony! First we ordered a pizza. While we waited for the pizza to arrive, we swam in the Pink Lagoon. The pizza arrived and it was so yummilicious!!! At bedtime thankfully, I won rock, paper, glitter, so I got to sleep alone. Even though I had to do the Sleep Study, I think I slept pretty fantastimazing. The next day my mom bought Dazzle Berry Muffins. We have finally got to the Land of Legos!!! We shot some skeletons and ogres first to save the Lego princess. She was very nice. I still can’t believe I met a real princess!!! She let us build our dream castles out of Legos, and then she brought them to life!! Afterwards, we went on the last ride of the day. I was sad to leave, but at least I got to eat!!! Next, we ate and shopped for maybe an hour and a half. My legs were starting to turn into noodles. We bought loads of stuff and then got ice cream. I got the new cheesecake flavor!! At last our adventure ended. It was sad to leave, but the Kingdom of Southern Comfort needed their shopkeepers.
