The Feed Store will host a hamburger dinner for the Albany High School  Senior Class of 2020 on Saturday, May 23 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

The Feed Store will provide seniors with hamburgers, hot dogs, and homemade ice cream for a sundae bar.

Feed Store executive director Tisha Wilkins said all precautions have been taken to provide the seniors with an opportunity to spend time together.

“We hope to fill the gap for some of the things the seniors are missing out on,” Wilkins said.

She emphasized that the dinner is not a school event and is being held under Feed Store occupancy rules.

“We will have the big doors of the building open and our tables spaced out,” Wilkins said. “We will be well under the 50 percent occupancy rules, as this is a private event for seniors only.”

Wilkins said the Feed Store is prepared to adjust plans if government restrictions change.

“Safety is the most import thing,” she said.

Wilkins added there will be games, music, and a backdrop hanging for pictures to be taken of the seniors.

Feed Store board members and some senior parents have volunteered to help make the event safe and successful.
