Gintert, McDonald wed Feb. 2

Jaymie Rae Gintert and Lawrence Mason McDonald were united in marriage on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at the Springs Event Venue in Angleton, Texas. 

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Gintert of Pearland, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. (Pete) McDonald of Rosharon, Texas. 

Mason’s grandparents were Bud and Elva (Daniell) Dillingham. Mason’s mother is the former Beverly Dillingham, 15th grandchild of Mollie Dillingham. Mason is one of 35 great-grandchildren of Ben and Mollie Dillingham. 

He is the only descendant so far to share Mollie Dillingham’s birthday. Mollie was born May 15, 1889 and Mason was born 96 years later on May 15, 1985.   

Out of the 250 people attending the wedding, 13 were direct descendants of Mollie Dillingham including two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. 

Special guest was Cathy Dillingham Seith, the youngest and 16th grandchild of Mollie Dillingham. 

In June 2017, the “Dillingham Family History” was printed in three installments on the Albany News Opinion Page. At that time, Beverly had tracked 111 descendants of Mollie Dillingham. 

Since then, Cathy has two new grandchildren (Mollie’s great-great grandchildren). Cathy is also expecting another grandchild in April, which will bring Mollie’s direct descendants to 114.
