Foods to be given Friday

Pick-up dates for the April distribution of the commodity food program are April 4 and 5.

On Thursday, April 4, certified eligible families in Moran should pick up their monthly commodity food at the Moran City Hall between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

Albany families who have been certified eligible for the April food distribution program can pick up their commodity food Friday, April 5, at the rear door of the JP office (the former county jail) from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. 

Recipients who are unable to pick up in person can send a signed and dated note with someone to pick up their commodities for them, rather than letting the items go unclaimed.

Commodity recipients need to reapply every year, and the forms should have already been completed and returned to the JP office.

“Those who have turned in their applications and picked up last month are good to go,” said Melissa Hobbs from the JP office.
