The staff at The Feed Store have planned a couple of high school student parties to take place this weekend since the Albany varsity Lions have a bye this week.

“Friday night will be for the guys,” said youth minister Levi Herron. “We’ll cook out, play some video games, and play some recreational games.”

The party will start at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, and will end by 7:00 a.m. the following morning, Oct. 6.

“There won’t be any sleeping!” Herron said. “We’re planning on pulling an all-nighter.”

The girls’ party will be on Saturday, Oct. 6.

“The girls will do ‘girly stuff’ like a scavenger hunt, baking, and nail painting,” Herron said after consulting with his wife Ashlee about her itinerary for the party. “But they won’t stay all night. They’ll just be there from 7:00 until 11:00 p.m. on Saturday evening.”

The events are only open to high school students. There is no charge to attend, but students are requested to let the Herrons know if they plan to come.

“We want to make sure that we bring enough food for everyone,” Herron said.
