FCA to screen The Passion of the Christ April 16 at Aztec
The Albany High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host a community showing of The Passion of the Christ on Wednesday, April 16, at the Aztec Theater downtown.
The evening will begin with a free supper at 6 p.m. at The Feed Store, provided by FCA. At 6:30 p.m., attendees will walk to the Aztec for the movie showing. Water and popcorn will be available for $1 each, with all proceeds benefiting FCA.
The movie, rated R for intense sequences, is open to the public. Students in grades 6 through 11 will be required to have a signed permission slip to attend. Forms will be available in the Albany High School office.
FCA student leaders organized the event to share the story of Jesus’s sacrifice. The group said they hope the film will offer a meaningful reminder of the events leading up to Easter.
