Fandangle practice underway

The first Fandangle practice of the year took place on Monday evening at the Aztec Theater, with the next rehearsal scheduled for Monday, March 23.

“We had a small but very strong group at our first Sampler rehearsal,” said artistic director Lorna Ayers. “There were a lot of conflicts, but I expect many more next week. The show is very historical and pays homage to the founding fathers of this area.”

Actors, singers, and would-be thespians of all ages can join the cast.  

“If you didn’t make it this week, come join us next Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Aztec,” said Ayers. “We will be bringing back some fun songs for the Sampler and the summer show like Kissin’ Kin, Rockin’ Chair, and one that will seem new, Rot Gut.”

The Membership Sampler is set to take place at Collins Creek Ranch, the site of Fort Griffin Flat, on Saturday, April 25.

Summer shows will be on June 19, 20, 26, and 27.

Membership Levels

Membership levels start at $25 for those 65 or older or $75 for individuals and families. Other levels include Patron ($175), Bronze ($250), Silver ($500), Gold ($1,000), Platinum ($2,500), and Diamond ($5,000).

All members are invited to the Sampler on April 25, with several other perks.

Members also have the option of purchasing box seats before they are offered to the general public, according to marketing director Scarlett Yates.

“Members who have had box seats in the past will be given first option,” Yates said. “If they no long-er want their box, we will next offer it to members who are on a waiting list for box seats. If no Fandangle Association members want the box, we will eventually offer it to the general public.” 

Ticket prices start at $15 for reserved seating. Box seats are $20 each and are only sold in complete boxes of four, six, or eight seats.

Sponsorships

Fandangle sponsorships are also available this year.

Sponsorships are offered at five levels; Nickel ($1,000), Copper ($2,000), Brass ($3,000), Gold ($4,000), and Platinum ($5,000).
