The Fandangle board of directors, including newly elected member Henry Musselman, met on Feb. 12, and plans for this year’s production are underway, although rehearsals will not begin until after spring break.

“I didn’t want to start practicing, and then be off for a week,” said artistic director Lorna Ayers. “We will have our first practice the Tuesday after spring break, March 19, at the Aztec. This will be for the full cast, everyone except the rolling stock.”

Membership letters will be mailed on March 1.

Tickets to the summer shows on June 21, 22, and June 28, 29 go on sale to members only starting on March 1.

Membership levels will remain the same, starting at $25 for those 65 or older, or $75 for individuals and families.

“The board approved new benefits for members as well as exciting corporate sponsorship packages,” said marketing director Rebecca Bridges. “Businesses will be invited to sponsor the Fandangle in a similar structure to memberships, but with added value for their brand.”

As always, members will be invited to the Sampler, which will be on Saturday, April 20, at the Flat.

Added benefits, depending on the membership level purchased, may include free tickets, access to a members’ hospitality tent or a VIP hospitality tent, drinks, meal vouchers, and more.

The parade will be Saturday, June 22.

The theme for the summer show will be “The Life of Sallie Reynolds Matthews.”
