Albany fans are invited to join in several of the activities planned by the Albany Athletic Booster Club to help motivate the Lions to be at the top of their game for Friday’s playoff bout with the Windthorst Trojans at Newton Field in Graham.

Kickoff for the area game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.

There is a team dinner at the Feed Store at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, sponsored by the senior parents.

Students and fans will gather at Bank Park for a community pep rally Thursday evening Nov. 21, starting at 7:30 p.m.

After the pep rally, the cheerleaders will start of the traditional all-night beating of the playoff drum.

Volunteers will continue beating the spirit drum on Thursday evening, through the night and until sendoff time on Friday.

The traditional “send-off” of the football team is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Friday afternoon. Fans are asked to gather in the Albany downtown area.

Tickets to the area game will be available at the gate at a cost of $5 for all ages. Passes will be accepted.

Albany will sit on the visitors side of the stadium, which is located at 1100 Calaveras Street in Graham.
