The Albany Chamber of Commerce second annual Membership Drive Crawfish Boil will take place at the Albany Golf Course on Thursday, March 19, starting at 6:00 p.m.

The Chamber will provide crawfish, chicken, fish, deer steak, all the fixings for the meal, and water to drink.

“You can BYOB if you want something else,” said Chamber manager Mary Beth Jones. “We’ll have live music provided by volunteers who will come up and pick and sing. We welcome others who are good at playing and singing to join in.”

There will be a bounce house available for the kids.

“This is an appreciation dinner for current Chamber members,” said Jones. “If you’ve not paid your annual membership yet, you can pay there; we’ll be set up to take cash, cards, or checks. Feel free to bring a friend who might want to join the Chamber.”

Chamber memberships are $35 a year for a nonprofit, $50 a year for seniors 65 and older, and $60 for a family. Fees start at $125 for a business, depending on the number of employees.

“Since it’s already March, we’ll pro-rate the membership costs for the ones coming to the party,” said Jones. “We’ll take $10 off for seniors and for families.”

Jones said that the turnout for last year’s event was great, and she is hoping for even more this time.

“It’s just a good, relaxing, fun, great way to get to know each other event,” Jones said. “Come out and have a good time. The Chamber is open to everyone who wants to join in to help Albany stay alive and prospering.”
