Churches prepare B-T-S programs

With the start of the school year, several Albany churches and organizations also begin youth services for students to become closer to Jesus.

Feed Store

Tuesday lunches for juniors and seniors will start again on Aug. 24.

The Feed Store will have fifth quarters this year.

Fifth quarter begins after the end of football home games and ends at midnight.

The first home game is on Sept. 17.

Friendship Baptist

Friendship Baptist Church is having a back-to-school event on Wednesday, Sept. 8 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The church will have air castles and hot dogs available.

A week after the event, Sept. 15, Wednesday youth nights will begin again.

Children aged four years old through sixth grade will have youth from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and seventh through 12th graders will have Bible study from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

MMPC

Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church will begin Mothers Day Out on Friday, Sept. 10.

The church will also hold Wednesday night study groups for junior high and high school students.

The first night is on Sept. 1 at 6:00 p.m.

Students will first meet all together for a meal and then split into two groups.

United Pentecostal

The United Pentecostal Church will hold a Back to School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 21, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

There will be a hot dog lunch after music and prayer time for those who attend the event.

Students from grades kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to attend the event, along with their friends and family.

There will also be games and drawings, with several gift cards given to different age groups. Students will also be gifted school supplies.

The church is located on Cook Field Road for those planning to attend.

Church of Christ

The Church of Christ will begin Wednesday night classes on Sept. 1.

The Youth in Action kids, junior high and high school, will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Classes for ages up to sixth grade will have classes from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m.

Adults also have followship at the church on Wednesday evenings.

First Baptist

First Baptist church held their first youth night for junior high and high school students yesterday.

Youth nights are every Wednesday and begin with junior high students from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. and high school students from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.

Jesus and Me (JAM) for kindergarten through sixth grade will begin sessions on Sept. 8.

Students will be provided a meal at 5:45 and the program beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Parents will be able to pick up children at 7:15 p.m.
