Chamber elects new directors

Several new directors were elected to the Albany Chamber of Commerce board at the organization’s annual membership meeting on Feb. 8.

Local residents who are new to the board are Chris Beard, Megaen Birdwell, Susan Montgomery, Jonathan Scott, Clayton Snyder, and Tracy Sullivan.

“We had a lot of interest in board positions this year, and we are thrilled,” said Chamber manager Mary Beth Jones. 

She added that several directors had asked to go off the board, at least for now.

“Unfortunately, we lost some good people to medical and personal reasons, but we hope to see them back in the future,” said Jones. “They have all said they still want to be active and help.”

Officers for the upcoming year were chosen on the same day. Ramby Anderson will continue as Chamber president, with Robert Dacus serving as vice president, Lisa Barton as treasurer, and Jones as secretary.
