Albany Chamber of Commerce manager Mary Beth Jones said this week that the Chamber’s annual membership meeting will take place at the Beehive Restaurant on Friday, Feb. 7 immediately after the noon luncheon.

The agenda for the meeting, traditionally held on the first Friday in February, includes going over the finance report and electing directors and officers.

The current Chamber president forms a nominating committee to fill any empty spots on the board. The committee’s recommendations are submitted and voted on by all of the Chamber members in attendance at the Feb. 7 meeting.

Directors whose three-year terms are expiring this year include Ramby Anderson and Clayton Snyder.

“So far, none of the directors have told me that they need to step down,” said Jones.

Current officers are president Ramby Anderson, vice president Robert Dacus, treasurer Lisa Barton, and secretary Mary Beth Jones.

Other Chamber directors currently serving on the board are Randall Palmore, Jana Kitchens, Susan Montgomery, Chris Beard, Jonathan Scott, Tracy Sullivan, Megaen Birdwell, and Landy Warren.

Chamber memberships can be purchased at a variety of levels including $50 for seniors, $60 for families, $125 for small businesses, $150 for medium businesses, and $175 for businesses with four to five employees.

Jones added that the spring membership party will most likely be a crawfish boil held sometime in March at the Albany Golf Course, depending on the weather.
